I need some help in regards to recently purchased Autopage RS 610 Remote Starter and Keyless e! ntry system and would appreciate any information provided to me for system problem resolution.

I installed the system on my Toyota Tacoma 2002 double cab. But on the completion of installation and final test I realized that Remote start of the unit does not functioning at all, though keyless entry work as described in operation manual.

In order to resolve this issue I went through electrical connection and programming function of the unit again and again, but couldn’t find the solution, the unit simply didn’t have an output to car starter, specifically to Violet wire of the H1/1 connector that controls starter function. I also double check Constant 12V voltages at the H1/2 and H1/3 and ignition 1 and 2 connections on terminals H1/4 and H1/5. As an important condition for Remote start to operate the H6/2 connector terminal should see the ground, so I checked the ground connection to this terminal as well as status of the safety Shutdown hood pin switch. All wiring was done properly.

At this time I tend to think that the Remote Start function of the unit is defective.

I would appreciate any help on this manner you can possibly provide for me.

Regards,

Felix

The only thing that I can see a problem with is that you do not have the unit programmed for the proper type of transmission. If the truck is an automatic then it shouldn't be a problem. If the truck is a manual, then you have to go through a sequence in order for the remote start to even respond.
