I just bought a fusion F-2000 alarm system. Well I bought my car and it has a factory alarm and keyless entry. But I bought my car used and it did not come with the remotes. That is why I bought the new alarm system. And the Fusion alarm system is "upgradable" and you can put keyless entry on it. Does that mean I can take my factory keyless and hook it up to the new alarm? In other words this new alarm system should be easy to hook up??? If someone can help me out on what wire to put where...it would be greatly appreciated!!

did that new alarm come with its own transmitters???
if so then it is a stand alone alarm. you will hook it up and use the transmitters that came with it.

ok you have a stand alone unit. use the info above and install it. alot of factory alarms worked off the door locks. when ever you locked the doors it would arm the alarm after so many minutes.

Hey where did you get the wire information from....?

This alarm is a lot harder than i thought to install. There are so many wires hooked in the the factory alarm. And I cant look up what every wire means.

Well....I just installed the alarm. That wasnt very hard. But I think I am going to have trouble with the keyless part!! I am not even using the factory alarm. That just makes everything more confusing. But if you have any pointers on how to do the keyless please do tell! :) With the wire guides that were provided...well I cant find those wires. So I am just going to run the wires from the door and the trunk. So if you can please tell me how to do that..please let me know. I think I just have to run the keyless to the drivers door, since you unlock both doors from it. THe tricky part will be the trunk.

look for these wires:
Power Lock GRAY 16 PIN CONNECTOR #201
Power Unlock PURPLE IN DRIVER KICK PANEL
they are your door lock wires.
if the door lock output on the alarm is a neg one, you just hook the wire right to the car's door lock wires.
i going on duty today, so i wont be able to check back with you til sunday.
Good Luck
