98 camry windows

ok i have a 98 toyota canry and i have some cut wires that are from the window switch on the drivers side i fixed all the cut wires and now the windows still dont want to work at all.i am getting a new drivers side door switch today but i have no power at any of the wires at the switch so is there a fuse somewhere for the constant wire to the switch?does anyone know what wire is suposed to be the constant wire at the drivers side switch??what am i missing here i know some of the up wires were grounding out because the insulation was cut and touching metal,did i blow a fuse??i knoww the switch is burnt it smells pretty bad, but i still have no power to any of the wires at the switch.

ok here is the story of what happened and maybe somebody can help me, a drill bit went through the wiring bundle for the windows in the driver door now 3 or more wires were cut a little mostly just insulation but they shorted out on the door frame,now the windows are down (all of them )and they will not go back up with any of the switches. so i checked all wires at the master window switch none of them have voltage at any time,so i have a little dilemma i know the drivers side switch is burnt because i smelt it and it stinks,but even if i replace the master switch i still have no power at all on the 2 blue wires which are constant power to the master switch,so this leads me to believe there is a bcm controlling this switch and it may be burnt as well.the reason i think this is i have found no blown fuses and i dont think these power wires are even fused so i know whatever was giving them power is burnt and not working i also discovered in an identical camry that the switch stays active after ignition is turned off only untill a door is opened. im scared that the bcm in the vehicle may be damaged can some one please help me in giving some good advice. should i just buy a new master and power boith blue wires myself and this should fix the problem??

Well as a last ditch effort you might try disco'ing the battery for a couple of minutes and maybe that will reset something in the BCM (if thats the case). Again this just a last ditch effort. 2nd you should be getting power for the window unit(s) from a constant source not the wires in the door. If you cannot fix the trouble or just want to get the windows up install a window module connected to the alarm, a swtich, or just leave the wire hanging out and ground it out yourself. Let me ask you this out of curiosity. Did you find a fuse for the windows and it just wasn't blown? I thought all cars had a window fuse (RAP or not).

i thought they would have a fuse too , but i checked every fuse in both fuse boxes and i found no blown fuses. so i dont know what is going on. i know that there are to blue wires at the factory master switch harness and these wires should have 12 volts positive when the key is turned on,but now there is never 12 volts on these wires so even replacing the master will not give me volatge but it will give me ground to all window motors. so i am planning on running a new 12 volt feed to both these blue wires from the ignition wire in the vehicle then i will replace the drivers side master switch and in my mind i think all will be good.all i will lose is the ability to roll down windows after ignition is turned off (like the factory did).
