How exactly are you suppose to program 2 car opearion on the SEC-100s????? the directions aren't very descriptive. The reason why I need to know is because one of my keypods does not work and it's flashing much quicker then my other keypod that does work. From what I understand it's stuck in 2 car programing but I don't know how to get it out of that any suggestions?

The following is to enable you to learn a new remote code. As it sounds like one of the remotes is not keyed correctly.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong. To reprogram the unit to learn a new code.
A) Ensure the system is disarmed. Hold the valet during the entire procedure.
B) Turn the ignition on-off 3 times, leaving it in the on position. The LED will then begin to blink rapidly.
C) Press the TX/Panic botton and the siren will chirp t times to let you know it has been re-coded.
D) Release the valet / disarm switch, and the system will return to standby.
Try the above and see if that cures what ailes you.

After thinking about the programming procedure again. Please follow the procedure below.
A) Disarm the alarm
B) Turn the igntion to *ON*
C) Press the valet botton for 1 second, then pressing the MODE botton for one 1 second.
D)The LED will blink for 1 second, and the siren will chirp once, meaning you are in the function set up menu.
E) Press EXT 2 to scroll down to the next level of programming.
F) When you get to the right level or menu the LED will blink one long blink that will repeat itself.
G) Press TX/Panic to turn off the 2nd care feature.

Hey I just called up my friend he didn't really tell me how to program it but he told me that it's a simple fix when it's stuck in the second car mode you just hold the disarm and the ext1 button at the same time for 5 seconds and then it switches to first car again. I can't believe that Alpine did not include this infromation in their manual I read it from cover to cover and it doesn't tell you how to get out of this if you accidently press these buttons together!!

So has anyone ever done a two-car set up. i wanted to know exactly how it's done. when you program into into the alarm the keypods codes to remember do you make sure that the other car's key pods are set into second car mode first before you program it? what exactly is the set up to do it. You program the codes for all 4 remotes then you go into the programming mode using each keypod and then set each keypod to either 1 or 2 car mode? does it matter if you have the keypods in first or second mode when you do it?
