Hey, all.....

Well now that I'm getting back into 12V security (wahoo!! I hope...Wiring Diagrams (codes) -- posted image.), I was wondering if I could ask a question and opinion of all of you....

Which computer program do some of oyu like to use for giving you the wiring codes?

The only one I'm familiar with is Wiremagic, but I know there are others out there.  Or should I just invest in every single Chiltons I can find??? ( Wiring Diagrams (codes) -- posted image....I hope not otherwise my bank account will be Wiring Diagrams (codes) -- posted image.)  I know to always use a DMM, but usually, the wiring codes you get from these proggies are fairly accurate...YES ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK WITH A DMM!!!!!  the one time you don't, bad things, really really bad things can happen (can we say worst case scenario, air bag going off in your face = possible death. Or Fried BCM or other computer part = Really really big dent in bank account!) !!

I just wanna know what all of you recommend for programs to use...I'm not really all that new to the 12 volt industry, just fairly new to alarms....( I ain't installed one in about 4 years...and man has the technology changed and made it easier for us of what..in some cases Wiring Diagrams (codes) -- posted image..  So please if I come off as a nimrod, give me sometime to remember all that wonderful stuff I learned at car audio school...slowly but surely I am remembering)

Any help would be appreciated!!  Thanks all and keep up the info....

Hey DJ12V, there are alot of web based sources that you can use for reference wiring without having to pay for it like Magic Wire. I too have used this service before, but found them to be inaccurate and slow on new vehicles. Now I use numerous sources from the internet to get my colors and I cross reference all these wire colors with each other to get the diagram that is common among all of them. This site is very helpful with wire colors as is Bulldog's site. Techsoft has good information as well if you can access this program from DEI.
