I have an '02 Tahoe.  I wanted to inquire what transponder/bypass kits people would recommend.  I was looking at the one from peripheralelectronics.com and this one from bypasskit.com.  The one from peripheral looks good, easy to install.  Does anyone have any other suggested manufactuers?  Just wanted to make an informed decision before I buy.  Thanks in advance for your time.

Duh... forgot to add:  530T or smartwindows 4?  I'm putting in an RSX3.5.

For passlock 2 I like the PLDATA or the IPPME. I guess the IPPME was replaced by the IPP03, but we've had inconsistent results with the IPP03. With that said, I'd go with the PLDATA. Easy, no cutting wires, haven't had one not work yet. On Tuesday I put in an IPP03 and (2) PLDATAs and all three trucks worked fine..I use the PLDATAs wherever possible..555L was pretty nice too in the beginning. Then they came out with bypasses that you didn't need to cut the yellow wire, then they came out with bypasses that you didn't need to tap the black passlock wire. So while the 555L will work, I think it's a little outdated now. Good luck,
Mike

get one step up from there and use the DATA1 (GMDATA-ALL).  Does Passlock II, arm/disarm/panic/locks/etc all in one unit.  Works SLICK.
