2003 Lincoln LS parking lights

Im having trouble getting the parking light to work with an aps-685 i installed. the tech info i have says a WHITE/ green an the headlight switch and use a 1800 ohm resistor with a ground pulse for the parking lights. i did that and no luck. has anyone had problems with this car with the parking lights? is the 1800 ohm the right value i need? any help appreciated!!!!! i hooked up an 1800 ohm resistor to the WHITE/ green and touched it to ground and it wont come on, just to make sure i didnt have a problem with my negative parking light output from my remote start module.

Have you verified the resistor with a meter?

yes i verified. have you had any problems with parking lights on this car? is the info i have right? have you done one?

Have you verified that the WHITE/ green wire needs a 1800 ohm resistor? If not, cut the WHITE/ green wire, put your meter to read resistance black lead to ground, red lead to the switch side of the WHITE/ green wire, and turn on the parking lights. It will tell you what value resistor is needed. Test it without cutting the wire and see what you get. If it gets a strong ground when the park lights are on, you shouldn't need a resistor. The info I have on this car is as follows:
For 03 - WHITE/ Green (-) No resistor needed (They list the 1780 ohm resistor for 02 though)
Another source says blue/black (+) @ the switch..
If none of those work for you, you may need to cut the wire and add a relay to isolate it from the switch. Just a couple ideas I haven't done an LS recently enough to remember just what I've done in the past.

ive done an LS before and i know i had to use a resistor with a ground pulse, i dont know why this one is being so difficult, ive got the car coming back on saturday to try and figure it out. nothing like a boomarang car.

ive got a 2003 lincoln ls that im having problems with the parking lights working properly with my remote start. first off, the car has autoheadlights. both dei and audiovox say its a WHITE/ green negative trip with a 1.8k resistor, but ITS NOT. even if i cut the white green the parking lights still work with the switch. Ive managed to make the parking lights flash, by using a relay to open up a gray/orange while pulsing my Neg. parking light signal to a WHITE/ blue, everything would work fine, however if you leave the headlight switch in the auto headlight mode, the parking lights will no longer flash. I've seen dei documents with late model ford autoheadlights, where you need two relays and a bunch of funky wiring to make the parking lights work with an aftermarket source. has anyone had the same problems im having with a lincoln ls with autolights????
