I have the factory disarm wire from all the other diagrams, but where is the factory rearm wire located?

There is no "rearm" wire. You can get the alarm to rearm by having the truck lock the doors while the drivers door pin wire is grounded.

I am connecting a Lynx 200 autostart alarm and it has a rearm with a negative out.

Which door pin wire should I use?

I hate to seem stupid, but when it comes to auto wiring in newer vehicles I am still learning. Give me an older car and I could make it do just about anything.

There are no pin swtches that I can see. Is there some sort of mercury or magnetic door switch?

Tan wire at the BCM, plug all the way to the right is for the drivers door. I assumed you had a tech sheet on the car. I've never tried the relay setup myself, just read how it can be done. I just tell the customer they have to hit "lock" on the remote while the door is still open. Most people don't even know their GM car or truck has a factory alarm.

So does the tan wire need a constant ground even after armed or just a ground while the system is arming.

I am also having troubles with disarming the factory system. I have the disarm wire connected to the light green in the PURPLE / violet plug of the BCM, but when I lock the doors and then unlock/disarm via the lynx remote it sets off the factory alarm. I rechecked the disarm wire to make sure it is getting a good connection.

Any ideas?

The tan wire in the BCM's purple plug requires a negative pulse only during the time when the lock wire (light blue in the brown plug of the BCM) is being pulsed to 12 volts +. This will arm the factory alarm and turn off your radio's retained accessory power. The light green wire in the purple plug is teh factory disarm wire. The white wire in the brown plug is the unlock wire (+). Check to make sure the green wire is receiving a negative pulse upon unlock. Some remote starters only activate their disarm circuit prior to remote starting. If so you will have to create a circuit using the unlock wire from the remote starter to both unlock the doors and disarm the alarm. Use a rely to do this as you need to send a positive pulse to the unlock wire (white) and a negative pulse to the disarm wire (light green).

Sparkie - Thanks for the response, I cant check it now but should be able to tomorrow.

Its an Lynx 2000 alarm/autostart. There is a disarm wire which it the one I connected to the light green. I wonder if it isnt pulsing long enough to disarm. The book says you can set the pulse time for disarm and rearm via the remote, but doesnt say how to do it. I went thru all the other settings and cant see how to change just these two.

Anyone know more about the Lynx 2000 programming? Can or does the pulse need to be changed like the book says it can?
