Hello all,
i'm trying to add door lock actuators to my Prestige APS-350 alarm.
THe actuators are regular two wire hookups.
BUT, the alarm doesn't send out regular (-) signals for the trigger, it has a separate 6 pin connector for the door lock output.. Here's what the manual says
"6 Pin Door Lock Output Connector : NORMAL DOOR LOCK OPERATION
The orange, blue w/ white tracer, yellow, white, green, and blue wires in the 6 conductor connector are the
contacts of the on board door lock relays. The function of each of these wires is listed below;
Lock Relay Unlock Relay
Blue w/ White Trace = N.O. Relay Contact Orange = N.O. Relay Contact
Dark Green = N.C. Relay Contact Dark Blue = N.C. Relay Contact
Yellow = Common Relay Contact White = Common Relay Contact"
Any Help on how to hook the relays Up? I'm lost!
here's the manual, but it dowsn't help me.

hey ive installed several of these.  the 6pin harness is the onboard relays in the alarm.  think of you standard 5pin relay.  you got 85and 86 which is the coil and 30 is the common, 87a is the NC normally closed, and 87 is NO normally open.  so basically there are two relays one for lock and one for unlock, they are in the brain of the alarm.  so for a positive lock output, yellow would go to a constant, fused, +12v.  and  the blue/white would be the positive lock output, the dark green wire is not used.  u get it?  so for an actuator, you have to have both legs rest at ground with one of them being pulsed at 12v to lock and the other pulsed at 12v to unlock.  so in your scenario, for lock, yellow would be connected to the wire on the actuator which needs to be pulsed +12v to lock, dark green is ground, and blue/white is constant 12v.  this way, both wires on the actuator are resting at ground, which they are supposed to be, and when the alarm is set, +12v is pulsed to the wire on the actuator that will make it lock.   got it?   if u need more info let me know
