I recently purchased the AG-95 S and I am installing it myself. I connected the necessary wires for most of the alarm's functions. The only thing the is not connected is the starter interupt and the remote start. Everything else was connected exactly the way the wiring diagram said. I have a 1999 Honda Civic LX 4-door. The door trigger on my car is a negative one. The alarm has a negative door trigger input. Here is the problem: Whenever I open the door (any door), the parking lights flash at one-second intervals for aprox. 25 seconds. I counted the number of clicks the brain unit makes and it's 20. Then it will stop for about 30 seconds and then resume. This will continue over and over until I close the door. So if I close the door, then open it again, the lights starts over again. Only the lights flash. The siren does not turn on at this point and the remote does not alert me of any problems. Just blinking parking lights. I know the door trigger is working because I tried opening the door while armed and it alerted me and set the alarm off. I have tried several different ways the fix this and I came up with nothing. I tried using the positive door trigger input and I tried disconnecting the parking lights from the alarm. It still clicks. This is a weird issue, so I hope someone can help me.

Looks like the alarm is bustem, might want to get a new alarm brain.

kinda sounds like a bad ground. ive had units that i havent grounded yet and i could use the keyless entry. try to diode isolate some wires. im not creative enough to tell you where tho...

i think maybe in series with the negative door trigger wire with the striped side to the door (away from the brain). or try the parking light wire.

but before you get too indepth, see if you can get a second brain and try to rule out defective equipment.

I was thinking the same thing about the brain being defective, but I want to make sure there is nothing I can do before I send it back. I will try finding a better ground and just for kicks, maybe a better 12v source. I tapped into the 12v wire from the cars central locking unit. Maybe there's a better wire for power. Also, I have several accessories tapped into the 12v wire that I am using for the alarm, like LEDs and neon lights. Do you think that would make a difference?

Not sure, but tap into the 12v wire form the ignition harness, and if that is not the problem, then I would make sure that the groun dis plenty good, other than that it sound like a busted alarm brain.

Thanks for your help guys. I tried pretty much everything that can be done. There are two answers here, either it's a busted alarm brain, or it's supposed to do this (which is stupid if it is). If it is supposed to do this, do you think the alarm manufacturer has a programming method to elliminate this?

The alarm is not suppouse to do this, I have checked the user and install manual available online, and it nowhere says it is suppouse to do this. Hope this helps.

I have sent a couple emails to the manufacturer saying the alarm is busted. I am quite sure now that I have a defective alarm because not only do the lights flash when the door opens, but the remote start doesn't work and the alarm sometimes doesn't recognize the door being open at all and sets the alarm when I am driving. The remote start function on the alarm doesn't even send an output to the starter relays when I push the button on the remote. I tested it with a volt meter. I'm sure I just need a new alarm brain. Thanks again.
