I recently installed a compustar CM 4200 remote start in my 99 F-150.  At first i couldn't get it to do anything.   Somehow i managed to get the parking lights to flash properly when i try to lock/unlock the doors.....although the doors don't actually lock/unlock.  I haven't bothered with the transponder bypass yet (want to get the remote start working first)   I've just been leaving the key in the ignition while trying to start it.  I'm quite sure the wiring is correct but i can't get it to do anything.  The parking lights don't even flash any error codes while trying to start.  Please HELP.....i've been stuck with this problem for weeks.  Thank you

Did you program the remote control to the CPU and get a confirmation that it did program properly. Also, you havet o program the tach wire to the Compustar as well.

Nothing will work until you get that remote programmed properly. Make sure you do all the procedures fast without any delay between the steps.
