I noticed that the starter wire is quite large.  Should i use an equaly large wire when hooking up my starter defeat or will smaller wires be fine?

The leit motif tonight is year make model. Generally you'll be fine with starter interruption using the same gauge as the manufacturer. Dont make a habit of installing starter kills in the trunk and you'll be okay!
Someone pass me that bottle.
