Has anyone heard of the dei 555p bypass module. I am trying to hook up a alarm/remote start to a 2000 ford ranger and that is what I was told to use. I have installed many gm's with the 555l and that was so easy. Why does ford do things the hard way??? any help would be great.

Just an addition to my last post. I installed the remote start yesterday. the alarm works great. The troble I am having is that when I tried to program The 555p it said that it programed by the light flashing. When I tried to remote start the truck the theft light came on and the truck would not start. The remote start works fine with the key in the ign. but without the key the theft light comes on. Also when I remote started it with the key in the ign. the siren sounded whenever the parking lights flashed. Any help would be great. Thanks Bill
