Have anyone ever had problems with these bypass's not finding that certain "sweet spot"?? I know that i put the lil chip in a spot and the remote start works so i thought it was fine. It seems after awhile the unit will stop remote starting, then just before they are supposed to bring it in for me to check it out, it starts to work again or when they do bring it in its working fine. So I guess what i'm asking is, where was some of the spots by the ignition you had best luck?   I know on some cars it varies, but you never know huh?

all of those have threir own personality, you just have to work with them.

Yea just work them around and get them in a spot "they" like and that should do it.

Are you talking about the 555U ?? The 555C , isn't that the no key required bypass module ?

I'm talking 'bout the 555c. Maybe to me it seems alil more complicated to use this module, but it seems that when you think you found the right spot and it works fine for like a week then it just stops working again.

no, i just repositioned the chip on this unit right by where the ring thats around the key cylinder goes into what i guess is the transponder box or whatever that is. So i'm going to let it sit for alil bit and then see what happens. The one that bypasskits.com offers, is that a good unit?

The TBKII or TBKIII ( universal bypass unit ) ? We have had good luck with them so far, but have heard from other installer's on this forum about the keys freezing up due to cold weather.
