Hi, I am going to install a remote starter in 95 park avenue. This vehicle has GM vats system installed. I was told the vats wires is locate at the two -terminal white connector. But I couldn't  find this connector in the car . Does anyone can tell me where exactly the vats wire is located?

Thanks

I saw a connector comes along with steering column but with at least 20 wire on it. and I noticed there is the white conncetor with 4 wire , but none of them is white colors. I checked the wire's resistor (using DMM)with the ignition key inserted(about 7.5k), but no correct resistance showed. also I noticed there is the small tube coming down from the steering column. this tube seems to be steel, dark gray color, very hard. I couldn't cut with razor. I don't know if this is the wires I am looking for.

I didn't find any connectors with two wires come along down from the steering column.

Thanks

like he said before, it is a small orange jacket usually found towards the left side of the steering cloum and in it there are two whit wires which will go to a connecter. should be real easy to see. you must be overlooking it.

You guys right!  I found the Orange tube today, It is among the other wires (at least 15) together going to the same connector. Inside the orange tube, there is two white wires, after making sure this is the correct wires, I connected the resistor and the relay into the wires, and installed the remote starter, It works .

Thanks

Hi, there is the other problem, this car has the factory alarm installed. every time when the alarm armed, if I remote start the car, it trigger the alarm and sound.
according to this car diagram, this car's factory disarm wire is light green wire at driver's(or passenger's) kick panel. But I coundn't find this wire.
Today, I checked the car using the key to unlock the door to see if any green wire respond to this procedure showing (-) signal, but I failed.
I only saw one big connector (at least 20 wires) under the driver's side lower dash panel (Is the lower dash panel also the kick panel? I am not sure.). there 2-3 green wires at it, none of them seems to be the disarm wire.
Does anyone have any way to check out the factory disarm wire?

The easiest place to get the light green wire on that car is probably in the boot going into the driver's door. If you slide it out of the way it's really quite easy to get the wire there.
