Jeep Dome Lights stay on

I just installed a remote starter in a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the dome lights stays on all the time now. I tested the drivers door switch and it functions properly, so it appears the peoblem is elsewhere. It;s actually wierd becasue the switch will shut off the lights one time out of about 20. Even though I think the switch is good, there are three wires at the switch: 1 Constant Ground, 1 goes to ground when the door is closed, and the other is ground until the lights turn off, then it goes to 12v+. So if the lights dont turn off when the door is closed then that last wire stays negative. Could tapping into the oem hood pin cause this?J Rilla

Yeah its only a Starter and the hoodpin is the only wire connected to the oem hood pin wire, and vice versa.J Rilla
