ok i installed a AP-K45 i think is the model number is this car  a 95 sebring.  its an audiovox prestige keyless entry.  anyway these  are easy, ive done countless alarms and keyless entries.  well the brain of the K.E.  was messed up. for some reason the horn output did not work.  so his lights flashed and doors unlock/lock fine..but no horn honk.  well anyway i did this on monday. i told the customer and he said hed be back friday..i was gonna get a new brain and swap them out.  well the customer is coming back tonite...i gotta be there on my day off tonite at 630 for an emergency.  he says his power windows...locks...radio..and almost every electical thing in his car is not working anymore...hes blaming it on me and hes pissed off!!!  i am pretty sure the brain being that it was already malfunctioning is causing the problem.  has anyone seen this before?  i got the new brain already..if i swap them out..should the problems be fixed or is this a huge problem?  oh yeah FYI, this model car is very difficult to get to the ignition harness..so i tapped constant and ignitoin off the radio harness..thats a trick another installer taught me..was that not a good idea?  someone help please..i gotta be there in 5 hours to fix it..i hope the brain didnt mess up his car to where swappin it out wont fix the problem..this could be costly for me on the account of audiovox..ive never had a problem with their security before!  any help...please!   either write back or you can for real call my cell phone...its 615-631-4313.  im Jimmy

no need for diodes on the lock wires...they were positive pulse...no resistor

I had a Sebring do funky things once. It was the large connector that's on the metal plate near the fusebox. The plug cannot be missed as it nearly sticks out of the dash. The ignition wire was intermittent . . . bad crimp!

well i went to the shop, and after testing a few things...its not  a big problem at all.  the alarm brain went bad and blew alot of fuses..thast why everything stopped working.

Yea that plate under the dash is all metal you gotta watch out for that one. The alarm brain was probably kicking the wrong triggers to those wires causing them to blow.
