I have a 2002 F150 and I recently installed a Clifford Martix RS-2. The install went well and everything functions as it should.
My problem is that no matter what I do, everytime I arm the system, the alarm sounds 30 minutes later. The reported zone is the door triggers. This happened with my last alarm on a 2001 Mustang as well.
I don't understand why the door triggers are setting off the alarm 30 minutes from the time I arm the system, everytime.
All the connections are made properly, and the door triggers work as expected. I used the wires listed as trigger wires unaffected by the domelight delay, which are blk / YELLOW and blk/pink. I also diode isolated the door triggers to prevent any cross signals. I connected the diode's silver stripe to the individual door 'pins', and the diode's black ends together at the negative trigger input of the alarm.
The only thing that i can think of is that the car goes into some kind of low power mode after it has been off for about 30 minutes, this would cause the door triggers to no longer read positive, which would trigger the negative input of the alarm. But I'm not sure if this is the case or not, and if it is, how to solve it.
If anyone can help in any way I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
