Please, please, please, please.. ....

Help me wire my car alarm.  I have power to the alarm and it works, but my power windows and dome light does not work.  I don't know how to wire the clifford to my doors.  I tried and failed miserably.. I don't know what to do.. Clifford does not want to help any of their customers.. I don't know why..

I have a Civic LX 97, with power windows and locks.  I found the wires for my power locks, but the wires from the clifford brain does not work.  I'm not sure if it's broken or not... it is brand new from the store..

If somebody can give me a step to step instruction on how to install this alarm.. I will be at their mercy.. Please help me.. I need diagrams and instructions.. the instructions that comes with the alarm does not help at all.  I've been to Clifford's website and it doesn't help me either.  There must be some magical way of doing this.

Thank you reader!!!

*1 Drivers side fire wall under hood.  *2 Factory alarm plug located behind radio. (GREEN/ plug).  *3 Can also use blue / YELLOW for driver door unlock only.  *4 Male blade terminal at fuse box. Also at the back of the dimmer switch.  *5 Can also be found in a light green plug above the fuse box or bottom of drivers kick, harness to rear. For dome supervision use lt. GREEN/ black at factory alarm/keyless plug.  *6 Also available at factory alarm plug. (lt. green).

Here the wiring diagram. It's a basic installation with a normal type A door lock system. Hooking up the windows requires a power window control module and the door trigger are a (-) trigger type. All the wires are listed above with the locations. You will need a DMM or a test light to verify the wires and make sure that you check all connections first beofre you wire it in. As for the dome light you may need to wire in a relay for this circuit to work properly .

Hey pkumax,

I'll try to help you out but I need to know some things first.  Do you have a complete install manual for your Matrix3? The answer should be yes 'cause they all come with one.  First of all you don't need anything else to do the door locks 'cause the Matrix has internal relays.  But if you want to add window automation you'll need a 530T to control up and down for two windows or a 529T to do two windows up only.  To do domelight supervision you'll need a relay.  The color codes posted above by Jeff are the colors to use in the install.  Figure out what you want to do, get what you need and get back to me.  How to wire a Clifford Matrix 3 to a Honda Civic97 -- posted image.

Hey Big Dog,

Do you have a Matrix 3?  Because I found the wires for the doorlocks, but when I try connecting the wires from the brain to the negative door wires, nothing happens.  When I then touch the same wires with my tester, it locks and unlocks.  Is my new Clifford broken.. or do I have the power hooked up wrong?  it works.  There's power going to it and my car hasn't fried yet, so I think I hooked up the power right.  Wouldn't you think so..

I need some step by step pictures with instructions specifically for connecting the Matrix3 to a 97 Civic.  I have to say I'm not very familar with alarms, but I want to be.. That's why I'm trying to do this by myself.  I know the consequences of screwing up, but willing to take the chance. I guess that's just they type of person I am.

I really appreciate all the help  you can give me.

Thanx Big Dog

Hey pkumax,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you I've been super busy.

On the Matrix3 the door lock wires are in an 8 pin connector.  First of all connect the violet and violet/black wires of the Matrix together to the ground.  Next connect the GREEN/ black from the Matrix to the GREEN / WHITE wire in the car (Lock wire).  Then connect the blue/black of the Matrix to the GREEN/ orange wire in the car (Unlock wire).  Everything should work! Thanks Big Dog,

I finally got around to trying it... and it work fine.  Thank you very much.  You are the Dog,

Now, I have a question on my dome light and starter kill.  Please teach me how to do this.  Same type of instructions as last time please.

I'm also thinking about doing my windows also.  Any advice you can provide will be appreciated.  How about my trunks?  I want my whole car to be accessible at the tip of my fingers!!!!

Thank you,

Paul
