I have a 96 Lumina and I'm tryin to figure out which ones to hook up to the door lock/unlock. The RSX 3.5 came with the 5 wire relay but I dont have that. I don't see any other little harness that came with it. Do I just cut the 3 strand that is on the relay or is there supposed to be an actual one for it? I don't see one so would it be safe to cut the one from the relay? From what the diagram I got it says they're both +. How would I run this if one needs to be + and ones need to be -?

| POWER UNLOCK|white |+ |either kick |

My remote start won't start unless I have the key in it? Is there something I need that will bypass this or something? Any help would be great.

on the lock relay, connect the fused purple wire to 12+volts. green will be unlock and blue will be lock. do not use white or brown.

cut the small blue/GREEN/ red ribbon off the 451m relay,  you dont need the relay. As for the car not remote starting unless you have the key in, thats because you have to bypass the VATS system in it. So set your DMM to meter ohm's and meter the chip in the key, then take the resistors that came in that 451m bag, and use the resistors to add up as close as possible to the same value of the reading on the key, there can only be so much of a difference in the the value of the resistors vs. the key other wise the security light may come on or the car wont start or it will start but then die and not start again for approx 10 mins until the VATS resets. You will also need a relay for the vats by pass. If you look in your RSX 3.5 install manual it will have a diagram on how to wire the relay, and resistor to bypass the GM Vats system.

I recently did the bypass in my firebird and i also done an alarm in my sisters 96 lumina

use the 451m, you cant do + trigger door locks with out it, atleast not all the time.  take the PURPLE / purple black to 12v, cap off white and brown, then use green and blue for lock and unlock.  the 451m uses the 12v as a power source, the 3.5 brain cant supply current to trigger all + trigger door locks.

seach this site for a VAS bypass.  you have to measure the resistance in the resistor in the key, then use a relay that activates with remote start to send that resistance to the vats decoder.  its not hard, only like 5 more connections or so and it works great.
