Hi,

I'm installing an alarm in my Laredo and I'm trying to figure out the wires for the interior lights(-) and the parking lights(+). If anyone can provide me the colors for the rear harness in the driver side kicker panel it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Vikram

Thanks for the quick info.

I hope I can find the three pin plug that is described for the dome light.

One problem I see is that my alarm has a positive output for the parking lights but this only lists a negative wire. Any idea what the positive wire would be?

Hey vvreddy,

For the door trigger wire, there are 4 separate door triggers wire, one for each door.  Use all 4 wires and diode isolate each together.  The drivers door is tan/red at the drivers door lock switch. The passenger door is tan/red at the passengers door lock switch.  The drivers rear door is tan/orange and the passengers rear door is tan / YELLOW at the BCM.

Also you cannot feed the positive wire because it's controlled by the BCM.  Use the negative as stated above.  Either way you'd be looking at the same work and you'd have to add a relay anyways.  '02 Grand Cherokee Alarm Connections -- posted image.

Thanks for your help.

I managed to get everything working right. I was able to use the dome light wire for the trigger and that captures events for all doors and the trunk. Still need to use the relay and resistor to trigger the parking lights.

I also got the doorlock module for the Crime Guard 745i3 that reduces the number of wires that need to be connected to the vehicle from 7 to 1. So that was a great help and it also has driver priority unlocking.
