Window roll-up timer

At the risk of sounding like a hack... I install a lot of the cheap 2-way LCD alarm/remote start combos that you see all over. Most of them have an option to activate auxiliary 2 with alarm arm. Auxiliary 2 will, in turn, have an optional 10 second timed output. Obviously this if for window roll-up, and I have used this to activate just relays on dozens of occasions without incident. I know you should use the modules that stop when they sense the higher current drain that occurs when the window reaches its limit, but believe me I have used this on a personal car for over 10 years without burning out my window motors. Recently, I attempted this on a 99 Navigator and it keeps blowing a 30A fuse. Navigator window assemblies are particularly difficult to operate, I own a 98 that I have tried 3 different rollup modules on (none work right). The timed output works, but blows fuses, and I'm reluctant to go to a fuse rated higher than 30 amps. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of a using an automatic reset circuit breaker fuse. Anyone have any experience with those?
