1st off, im a newbie....

Now to business: I have a 98 Rodeo 4Dr V6 with power locks, windows, etc... I just had Best Buy install a sidewinder 6500 ESP Remote Start/Alarm. Everthing seems to be working fine, but when I arm the alarm, 30 seconds later the factory alarm arms. With this happening, whenever I unlock the doors with the aftermarket alarm, the factory alarm goes off. The only way for me to stop it is stick my key in the door and turn it to unlock or perform a remote start. Is there a way for me to perm. disarm the factory alarm?

Note: I didn't even know the truck had a factory alarm when I bought it. I have no factory remote; only a key. I read a couple of previous post about wiring diagrams, which labeled this info:

FCTRY ALARM ARM|purple *5           |-  |drivers kick in a white plug|

|FCTRY ALRM DISARM|yellow/blue *5      |-  |drivers kick in a white plug|

Can these simply be cut to diasble the factory alarm or will I only screw things up worse?

Thanks for all of your help in advance...

i'd personally take it back to best buy. it'll be easier on you to have them fix whatever mess up they did.
