99 Intrepid window with alarm

I installed an Avistart 4300 alarm and everything works well except I am trying to get the windows to go up and down with the extra channels (4 and 5 are free to use for anything). I have the correct wires and measure ground at the door switch and 12v when operating the switch but when i have the relay put 12v from the remote on any of these wires, the fuse blows, a ground at the switch does nothing.Do these run through resistors or do I need something additional? You need to brake the circuit while applying the +12V. Both wires probably rest at ground while the window is not operating, so applying +12V to a wire, will just short it out. To make the window go up, find the wire that reads +12 when going up at the motor. Cut the wire and wire the switch/car side of the wire to pin 87a (bosch type relay). Wire the motor side of the wire to pin 30, and wire +12V to pin 87 and 85. Finally connect your (-) channel output to pin 86. To roll them down do the same thing with the wire that reads +12V when going down and use the other (-) channel output on pin 86.

Thanks, this sounds like it will not allow the window to work with the door switch since I am braking the circuit, should I tap into the motor wire to keep the switch operational is that correct? How also can I operate all 4 windows by using the opne door motor? Will I have to hand wire all 4 door motors throughout the car? Thanks for the infosnakoiler

The switch will still work, because when the relay is not energized, 87a and 30 will be connected. When the relay is energized, the 87a and 30 connection will be broken and pin 30 (the motor) will be connected to +12V. You are correct in your assumption. You will need to make all the connections at the motor in each door, so for 4 doors, you gotta wire them up 4 times. To make 4 windows go up and down, your gonna need 8 relays... sounds like it might be a cleaner install if you used (2) DEI 530T's.
