I'm looking for some guidance from anyone with experience with these three items, and their interoperability.

I'm not an installer, but have done similar jobs in years past.

Now I haven't started this project yet, but I'm a bit confused about some overlap in connections between the three units.

My biggest challenge is knowing when a particular wire is really needed for my situation. For instance, on the PassMod the green goes to second ignition if required, well I have no idea if it's required or not...

There are a few situations similar to the above that I need to get squared away, before I jump in to the install.

If anyone has the time, or resources to help me determine what wires can be discarded right off the top, it will further simplify this install greatly.

Thank you very much for any help you guys can offer.

you need a GMDL4 to do locks as far as your bypass your easiest bet is to get a GMDLBP it will do your locks and passlock bypass all in one

as far as your install on that truck the most important is to hook up your 2nd ignition (the small white wire in the ignition harness or you will fry the transmission)

WHITE-IG2

Thanks man, Just today I found that I was told to purchase the wrong GMDL1, I'm currently sorting that out. Since I already have the PassMod, would it be worth sending it back (shipping), or will it work as well, just using two modules, rather than one?
