Hello.

I'm somewhat of a newcomer to vehicle electronic installation. I've installed car stereos, amplifiers, and streetglow systems. A friend of mine purchased a keyless entry system for his 2000 Cavalier, and the diagrams it came with are subpar at best. The vehicle does not come equipped with a stock keyless entry, so I'd like help on the following things:

1: Does anyone have more detailed schematics of the vehicles wiring assembly?

2: Since the wires are only about 3 feet long, and the main problem is getting it to run to everything (including the horn, which is located right near the passenger side front bumper) does anyone have suggestions for mounting places?

3: What exactly do I need to find (ignition wires, lighting wires, etc) and the locations of each.

If anyone can help, I would be in so much debt to you, it's unfathomable. Thank you.

You will not find a corpse, because I have never possessed a body.

Also, it does not have a power door lock system.

NOTE: This vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system that, when adding a remote start, must be interfaced with. Use DEI part 555t or 555L. *1 The engine harness is found next to the battery, below the radiator hose, just above the transaxle.   *2 Non keyless cars, locks are 5wi (type C) and they are mastered from the passenger side switch. Keyless cars, locks are positive trigger (type A). Also found at BCM. *3 The GREEN/ black is located in the lower drivers kick panel. It catches the drivers door only. The light blue is located in the lower passenger kick panel, and catches the passenger door(s). Tap both wires and diode isolate each. Also found at BCM. *4 The BCM is located to the left of the steering column above the kick panel.

You going to need a volt meter to check the wires.
You can buy power lock form most car audio/alarm shops.
Depending on the keyless entry you may need relays for door locks, dome light, trunk.
