I took my van in for service, they didn't know about or how to use my keyless entry for the killswitch. So they disabled the engine killswitch as well as the alarm all together. I want to know how to get these back working.

98 Ford Windstar 3.8L everything is factory Keyless Entry as well as kill switch tied into keyless entry. Even worse the driverside door does not work with the keyless entry anymore. it looks like it tries to unlock but simply can't. When alarm is pressed car is supposed to lock all doors, enable killswitch on engine and arm alarm, chirping 2x. Car will only chirp 1x, Unlocking all doors except driver door and supposed to disable engine killswitch.

What wires must I reconnect, or what fuse must I replace? (Hoping for the simplest). Also in what general area do I have to look for whatever needs to be replaced. Fuse box under steering or under hood?

Thanks for all the help. Extrememly appreciated.

Hey, Try looking under the dash on the drivers side, u might have to take off ur kick panel( metal and plastic peices under your steering wheel coloume) Then try and look for a black box with wires coming out of it. make sure that the harnesses are all plugged snuggly into the box. hope this helps
