Frustraiting time with this alarm and installer.

1. Dodge Ram 1500 Dome ligh delay, alrm chirps 3 times, due to dome light. INstaller tells me to take out dome light. Right.

2. Chrips are not so loud, but horn is, so I want to turn off horn. Finally find manual online to program. So I give it a go.

Install manual say turn ignition on and press valet button 6 times. Nope, after 3 times it goes to remote programing.

How do I get into programing mode on the Code Alarm CA-110. Thanks!

Okay, after reading the rest of the manuals for other Code Alarm models, I figured out the misprint.

http://www.codl.com/manuals/installation/

For the rest of you, the CA-110 and most likely others,

1. Turn Ignition On. (I had drivers door open, not sure if it matters)

2. Turn Ignition Off. (The part that was missing)
3. Press and release the valet switch 6 times, the alarm will chirp once, you are in Programing mode.

Well, the saga continues.

The system acts like it is going through the programing steps, but none of the changes are taking affect.

Is there a step missing to "Save" the changes, I'm currently just waiting for the time-out.

Does anyone reading these posts install Code Alarm on a regular basis and willing to lend a hand?

Thx.
