I bought an Audiovox Prestige RS model aps 786. I had no owners manual in the box ( although I did get the Installation Manual) and the install shop doesn't know where it is. I found a PDF Owners Manual file online for the aps 785. Question 1: What are the differences between the 785 and 786 if any? Question 2: While the engine is running under it's own power, can I switch to "remote start" mode without shutting off the engine? (useful for those quick trips at the convenience store while kids sit in the truck). I am installing this RS unit in a 2002 Dodge Ram. No questions about install, found plenty of info using the handy search feature.

dont know about the differences, i would think it has a pit stop mode. i know that the Omega Max does................

no big difference between the two. The "pit stop" mode he was talking about will only work if the installer hooked up a tach wire. You activate it by pressind the remote start button twice
