Prox sensor doesn't like rain

Hey everyone. My proximety sensor has this extremely annoying habit of going off repeatedly when it rains. Obvsiously the sensor is inside the car where there is no chance of rain getting to it at all. I have to practically turn the sensor sensitivity all the way down to get it to not do this. It's extremely frustrating because the sensor works perfect otherwise. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this happens??? I have a Viper 791xv alarm. Stupid thing is, my girlfreind has the same system in the same car and it rarely falses due to rain.

Try hitting lock more then once. It should chirp on arm and when you hit arm again it should do some more chirps. Doing this is supposed to disable the shock/proximity sensor input. Hitting lock 2 times after arming it should disarm blue wire instant/multiplex trigger, and hitting it 3 times after arm should disarm all triggers.Certified Security Specialist

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

I can disable certain zones however they are only as follows. The hood, impact sensor, door, INSTANT trigger for option sensor (prox) and the ignition. So according to this, I can disable the prox sensor from going full alarm, but not warning. That's what the sensor does is warn you constantly. Right now I have the thing unplugged since it's going to rain alot due to Charley. Any other thoughts??

Take a bat to it, shoot it, blow it up, throw it at the next a***ole that cuts you off, etc.... Or just try to turn it down, if that don't work then refer to above.Certified Security Specialist
