Hello,

I am a novice at this so if you guys can bear with me with my dilemma.  I have a 1994 Toyota Corolla and I recently installed an aftermarket door locks (5 wire for the driver side, 2 wires for the rest).  Everything went okay, the problem started when I added an aftermarket alarm system (Option Group).  Everything seemed okay until I get to the connection for the door lock trigger on the alarm.  The alarm has 2 wires to trigger the door locking mechanism ( one for positive trigger and one for negative triggers).  The door locks I installed had negative triggers so I used the negative wire from the alarm.  The door lock system has 2 wires designated for the "alarm system." After reading further and basically experimenting, I found out that the 2 wires from the locking system were to lock and unlock the doors (white wire to lock and brown wire to unlock).  I currently have the 1 wire from the alarm system hooked up on the brown wire (unlock).  According to the alarm system manual, I am suppose to be able to lock/unlock my doors when I arm/disarm the alarm.  Currently, this is not the case and I am seeking help to see if anyone out there can help me figure this thing out.  Currently I am not able to do either one when arming or disarming.  If anyone has any input, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks so much in advance.

by the way, there is also a connection (from the brain of the alarm) for the actuator (GREEN/ blue wire) that looks like it is meant to go through a relay.  I don't know if it can be used  with the current door lock system.

most alarm will have an 250mA power, enough to power a relay. youll need a DLS or two relays for ur actuator. look at the relay section.

thank you for the response.  I saw the relay configuration and I will attempt it.  Now just to be sure, will I connect the relay to the driver side actuator (which will lock/unlock the rest of the doors) or the brain of the door lock system?  Thanks again.
