I live and work here in Dubai UAE. I own a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT. I just ask a local shop here to install a Car Alarm in My Car made by SACA called Venom, It has a seperate motion sensor all adjustment is tried also w/c they change twice but did not fixed the problem, Since american car is not popular here no technician can help me solve my problem. Everything seems to work fine except that after an hour or so my alarm would just go honking and flashing without any reason, something must be triggering it. So i ust have to close the door manually so as not to trigger the alarm. I notice that during the installation the technician did not even use a relay or diode to install my alarm. Could this be the problem. Please anybody help me.

you only use relays and diodes when you need it . not every alarm needs it i have done alarms where the only relay needed was starter kill relay , you sensor has got be set to high i dont know what else would set off an alarm unless they connected a dorr trigger wire or something in the wrong place this is what wires you should have the alarm connected too.

What's happening is that your GEM module is activating the alarm system. Here's what you have to get the installers to do : To avoid the dome light delay and dome light time-out use the separate door triggers. In the drivers kick panel find yellow/black for the drivers door, lt. GREEN/ YELLOW for the drivers rear door, and WHITE/ purple for the rear hatch. In the passengers kick panel find gray/red for the passenger front door, and pink/lt. blue for the passengers rear door. All five wires are negative trigger and must be diode isolated together.
