Hey everyone, usefull site here. Hopefully can get some help.

I got a old "Code Alarm elite 2100" alarm from a buddy. All i got was the alarm and all the wires hanging (Big bundle then the 2 wires for auto start on a different socket)

The back of the alarm has a diagram of what each color is so i know that side of the install. Just dont know what wires what in the car

All i really wanna use the alarm for to hook up the sensor, unlock/lock the doors(with parking light flash) and hook up the siren. Everything else im not gonna bother hooking up.

Wondering if i post all the wires and what function they do, if someone can tell me what ones i need to use and where to run them. I'd like if possible, make the headlights and taillights flashing instead of running lights. Also would like to be able to use the factory remote as normal also. If its just as easy to use any other options with the wires, im up for suggestion on what all to do.

This will all be installed in a 1999 Pontiac grand am GT1-

1. BLACK/ white-parking light polarity

2.ORANGE / black-parking light output

3.yellow/black-dome light polarity

4.18GA yellow-dome light output

5.purple- trunk release polarity

6.brown-disarm button input

7.green- negative hood.trunk trigger input (-)

8.yellow-negative trigger input (-)

9.BLACK/ green- AUX 2/headlight control (-)

10.RED / black-door lock polarity input

11.black-ground

12.tan-trunk release output

13.BLACK/ black-lock (motor) output

14. 18GA blue-lock (switch) input

15. GREEN/ black-unlock (motor) input

16. DK. green-unlock (switch) input

17. 20 GA blue -switched 12V + input

18. gray- LED output (-)

19. white - positive trigger input (+)

20. orange - siren / horn output (-)

21. Not used

22.red-constant 12V +

* The Ignition switch on the vehicle is mounted on the dashboard and not the steering column, you must remove either the radio or the instrument cluster to access the wires at the switch.
** At plug on driver's side of engine for 2.4L. On back of engine for 3.4L. SEE EXPLODED VIEWS
*** This is a 1 wire doorlock system. A ground to this wire will lock the doors and a ground through a 1500 Ohm resistor will unlock the doors. See our doorlock diagram for wiring instructions.
**** Driver's door is GREEN/ BLACK and BLUE is all other doors ( diode isolate ). B.C.M located above passenger foot well near fan motor.
***** There are more than one wire of this color, please test carefully.
****** On the 2.4L, this wire is at pin-16 of the 80-pin plug. On the 3.4L the wire is found at pin-55 of the 80-pin plug.

Ask, and you shall recieve. I have supplied you with 4 referrence material data sheets.
The only information that matters is the one coming from your DMM, and the brain in your head to verify it.
Please do, for your safety, and that of your vehicle.

I do not have any directions or anything so hopefully you can give me a idea on what to do.
Only thing i got hook up is the siren, power and negative for the unit and the shock sensor.
When i turn it on, the LED blinks on and off every second.
When i tap the shock sensor, it lights up and sets off the siren.
After a minute, the siren shuts off and the LED blinks really fast. I still can tap the sensor and the siren goes back off.
The remote dont seem to be doing anything either. How do you get the unit to reconize the remote?
There is a black push button thing that has 2 brown wires coming off it. One wire is attached to nothing and other end runs to the part of the alarm called "-disarm button input".
again, Im just using the alarm to be able to arm/disarm and have the lights flash. No special door unlocks or anything.
