I recently bought an add on alarm for my 2001 Dodge Ram (ICDynamics model FA1). The problem is that I cannot get my factory keyless entry remote to turn on/off the alarm unit. Do I have to connect a pair of relays to the power locks/ keyless entry to get this thing to Work? any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

Most aftermarket  alarm systems can not integrate with factory remote controls unless there is trigger wires for the alarm to incorporate the OEM leyless entry into the system. Is there such a wire from the FA1 unit ? If there is no wire that you can hook up to your OEM keyless entry then you can not use the OEM keyless entry remote to activate the alarm system.

There is a blue lock and a green unlock wire connected to the FA1, but when I connect to the lock/unlock wires, I still get no alarm control

Go here to wire the door lock system : http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/wires/images/35wire.htm

Go here for the wiring diagram : http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/wires/dodram99-01.htm

The Dodge uses a 5 wire lock/unlock system thatrequires the add on of relays to operate the locks properly.
