I'm trying to install a remote starter/keyless entry/alarm from design tech. As I was trying to verify the yellow starter wire on the ignition harness with a  meter, I turned the key got no voltage reading and pluged it back in, now the car wont start. I had the neg end of the meter hooked up the the battery and the positive side to the wire. Did I screw up ??

I really need to get this car off the street tonight

here's a photo of the harness I checked

That is not your ignition harness that is a harness that goes to your vehicles computer.
You may have buggered up your computer, or you may have popped a fuse.

Oh boy,  I checked all the fuses and they look fine. I hope I don't  need to replace my computer.

Do you know where the ignition harness is ??

Thanks

That harness is for the tach signal and what not. The ignition harness is actually in the car by the steering column.

Did the vehicle have a starter disable unit in it before or was the wires untampered with ?
