Hi..

I just recently installed a remote start on my 01 Chev Silverado. Everything worked out fine except one little glitch..

I bypassed my passlock using this relay setup.. http://12voltinstallations.8m.com/photo.html

Now everything works fine, no security light when remote started but soon as I put the key in and touch the brake the Security light comes on.. Is there something I am missing here??

Thanks for the help..

Yes I powered up both ign wires. The light stays off when its being remote started until the key is in and I touch the brake.. Also the light doesn't come on when I start it with the key...

Check to make sure that your ground for the RS is reading absolute 0. Also, ensure that you are getting an absolute 0 reading off your ground when running wire as well. I have seen many problems where the (-) status or ground when running wire doesn't ground properly throughout the RS sequence and causes this light to come on. If you have to, use a relay to boost the negative signal of the status wire for a better ground.
