looking to see if any one out there has a diagram for a 2004 grand cherokee. I;m Installing a audiovox prestige aps786 alarm and remote start combo.. I need to knoe if this vehicle needs a transponder if so witch one do i need and I need to know the power door lock system.. (diagram if possible)... thanx ...Angel

You would need a transponder for this vehicle. Use can use this JDL-PK combo.

JDL-PK - Jeep Doorlock Alarm Interface & Transponder Bypass

Data bus interface control & transponder bypass combo: Lock/Unlock, Driver priority unlock, Trunk, OEM security arm/disarm, Panic, Driver 1 memory setting & Transponder bypass: RF override through induction using loop antenna (Transponder included no key required)

The JDL-PK will bypass the Sentry key as well as interface with the door lock system. Make sure that your ground out when running wire on the Audiovox is relayed like this: http://www.velocitymotorsport.com/images/install_notes/N2N.jpg to ensure a proper ground going to the module. If you don't you will run into problems with intermittent locking and disarming and possible no starts when remote starting. When you pruchase the JDL-PK it will already come with wiring instructions for your Jeep and the wiring diagram for the 04 Jeep you can get here:
