hi, here is what i did - i hooked up another 6 tone siren to the lights output of my car .i'm using the hornet 725t and i diode isolate the lights from the siren. when ever  i get the light flashes the siren sounds with addition to the original siren. the purpose is to draw much attention if anyone ever breaks in my car by using a dual siren hooked up different.

now here is what i wanted to do originally- connect the factory horn to the lights . exactly where the second siren is i wanted to put the horn . i had it connected that way but when parked up and when i armed/disarmed the one and two light flash together with the horn is too irritating . now i want it to be irritating and draw attention but non when i disarn or arm the car -only if someone breaks in to my car ...how can i do it ?

I normally to hook up the siren output with 2 relays and a flasher if you want to hook up the car horn. I dont know how you want the horn to go off. I've done it without the flasher , but that is a real annoyance. If you hook it up with the flasher, it might not alway sound when you arm/disarm the alarm.

The way you had it hooked up was hooked up to the lights... didn't it go off when you put your light on?

The horn will sound at times with the way I did it, but I'm sure it won't be annoying like how you had it hooked up.

i want to reduce the sound or eliminate the sound of the horn completely when i arm /disarm because it is much to loud- loud as in disturbing . but i want it to sound as loud as it can if any on tries to breaking the vehicle.

i basically need silent arm/diarm but full blast if the car is broken in..

diode isolate the lights from the siren so i get no siren when lights are on.

how do you use the 2 relays ? how does the flasher affect the sound ?

what do you use the 2 relays for ? how did you wire it ? i tap my horn connection from the factory relay ?

Does your alarm have a silent arm feature? I use 2 relays- 1 relay to power up the siren and the other for the horn. Some alarms don't give any power from the siren output if too many things are trying to draw from it.

If you want the horn to sound "beep""beep""beep""beep""beep" simultaniously you use the flasher. If you want it to just go off all the time, don't use the flasher.

My alarm does have the silent feature . but the lights always flash when you arm/disarm -which means that the horn will sound when connected to the lights  .

unless i power the horn relay from the alarm siren output ...which means i can silently arm disarm the alarm without the sound of the horn .. - i think it's best for me to power the horn relay from the alarm siren output rather than the lights output - in that way i can silent/arm disarm with no sound of the horn .  i think i'' hook it up this way - the only prob. is that i will have to always arm silently before the alarm arms its self or the horn will sound .- i'm not sure if i want it so - i guess i cant have it exactly how i want it without a compromise.

If i program the siren output from the alarm from siren to horn output then i'll get a beep beep sound if connected to the horn .but then it's going to be much too loud . i'll have to give this some more thought before i decide ..

Thanks for the info ...
