Hi folks..
I have a 96 Jeep ZJ, and for the last couple of days I've been installing a ProStart car starter.. I finally have it ALL working.. almost.. this deals with the OEM alarm. When I set the alarm with the original Jeep remote, it sets fine, and the light flashes on the dash., ALL is good. When I set it with the new remote, the doors lock, but the light does not flash.. I've connected the ARM wire from the ProStart (it's a 500mA - output) to the yellow wire in the driver kick panel and also to the BLACK/ white wires in there.. NO LUCK at all..
Am I looking in the right spot? By the way, the ProStart DISARM function works perfect, it's connected to the purple / YELLOW wire and disarms the alarm when I set it with my original Jeep remote..
I'm confused, am I even looking in the right spot??
Thanks for any help..

yea, but I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible, that's why I bought a ProStart and not something better. I just do not understand why the doors can lock, but it will not ARM the alarm using the new remote.. Where is the DAMN ARM wire located?? Can someone send me directions or a picture??
he, he..
Thanks
