 Can any one direct me to maybe a website page explaining how to use a volt meter to get the proper resistance value for single wire doorlocks . I notice more light flash also use resisters also. Been relying on wire info but sometimes they are wrong.

Cut output to switch. Then take your meter set to resistance and put one lead on the output wire coming from the switch and the other lead on the input of the switch. Hit the button a couple of times or hold, and you will have the resistance of the switch. Or you could just look the values up.

or you could use a resistance learning module like 456L from DEI and remove all guess work

or take the key  and mesure the resistance on the key

What vehicle is this for ? We can probably just give you the proper resitance for the lock & unlock along witht he parking lights if we knew the vehicle.
