doing remote start on 98 montero sport.

everything is great except the unit keeps cranking.

Please tell me the color and location of the correct tach wire.

\the wiring info on this site says the whit ewire at the ecu in the pass. kick panel. well there are two plain white wires there and a smaller gauge white with silver dots.

anyone with experience on this truck?

can I get the tach at the injector or coil?

Thanks in advance

On the 2.4L, tach is wht/blk at the coil on the left front of the engine compartment. On the 3.0L and 3.5L it is white at the ignition module next to the coils on the right rear side of the engine compartment under the plastic motor cover.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.98 montero tach wire -- posted image.
