There was a few questions I had regrading this magicar alarm system (MAGICAR FAI-8000) I just wired this system to my 1994 chevy cavalier and I noticed that it said hookup the RED / black wire to the hand brake but it did not say nothing about wiring it to the brake patel. The question is did I wire this correctly or was I suppose to wire this to the brake switch not the hand brake (The thing I did was splice the wire under my handbrake the tan looking one with the white stripe) I ask this because when I go step on the brake, when I start my car withe the remote the car remains on. Also where is the the door trigger wires on this car any information will be a greatly apperciated. Oh yeah one more thing how do you program this system to read off the tach. instead of the alternator Iv tryed what they said in the manual but it didnt work mabe its because I dont have my door trigger inputs installed. On one of the lines it states turn the key off/on three time with the door open but its not working

Thanks in Advance!

Use lt. GREEN/ black for the drivers door and lt. blue for the passengers front door. For the 2 door models, use both wires and diode isolate each. For the 4 door models, see directfax document #1075.

Check the instructions it has to have a wire that goes into the breake pedal
