Hi,
I am installing a Alarm and remote start in a 2001 Tacoma ExCab w the 3.4L V6.    Can anyone help me with these connections?
Parking light wire:
Tach Signal: (where is the best place to tap and what color?)
Headlight Wire:
Also, Is there anything special I need to do on this vehicle or know about?
Using a Code Alarm CA series.
Thanks,
Al

first, some toyotas need a bypass but the one you are doing may not, it all depends, best way to tell is to remote start it, if everything works then you dont need it.  if it wont stay running then you need it.

Parking Lights+ green  +  back of fuse box, 12 pin plug
Parking Lights- PURPLE / red  -  front of fuse box, 22 pin plug

Tachometer lt. GREEN/ black  ac  instrument cluster or
Notes: On the 4 cyl it is at the data link connector to the right of the steering column. On the V6 it is at the igniter on the passenger fender, below the air filter box.

The drivers door is green, the pass. door is GREEN / WHITE, they are in a white plug behind the fuse box.

The rear doors are tied together, YELLOW /GREEN in drivers kick or running board. Use all and diode isolate

The tach, (easiest way) is at the ignitor on the pass fender under hood. Its lt. GREEN/ black
