Hi:

What is the best location to tap ignition status signal in F-150 XLT model year 2002. I am trying to use ignition status line to swicth of a GPS navigation system ON/Off when the vehicle is turned ON/Off using ignition key.

Function	Vehicle Color	Location
Start:	RED / LT. BLUE	IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Ignition #1:	DK. BLUE/LT. GREEN	IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS*
Ignition #2:	RED / BLACK	IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Ignition #3:	GRAY / YELLOW	IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Accessory:	BLACK/ LT. GREEN	IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Brake Light:	GREEN	AT SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL
Tach Signal:	RED / GREEN	AT COIL MODULE
Parking Lights:	DK. BROWN	AT HEADLIGHT SWITCH
Headlights:
Diesel Glow Plug:	BLACK/ PINK (+)	AT "WAIT TO START" LIGHT
Clutch Bypass Wire:	DK. BLUE/ORANGE (+) LT. DUTY	WHITE/ PINK (+) HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS
Notes:	*1998+ May be equipped with Ford's PATS Transponder Theft System. Use Universal Alarm Bypass Module part # 2x402 where X can be any number.
