i just had this system installed and was wondering if there was any way to get an audible warning for arming/disarming the system all  of the time??  i know that pressing the lock button a second time will  make the horn sound.  is there any way to do this??  both my honda dealer and the honda motor company tell me that nothing can be done for this and that this is how the system was designed.

can another type of remote be used or maybe another system or option be integrated with the existng security system??

please reply

thanks!!!

Are you sure there is an alarm and not just keyless entry? If you want to keep the factory remote then you could use a keyless entry add on alarm, DEI makes one under the hornet and automate brands.

hey auex:

thanks for the response!!  it is a factory alarm that i have.  my cr-v  came equipped with the factory keyless remote;i upgraded to the factory alarm and had it installed at my honda dealer.  the alarm pretty much acts the same way as the keyless but with a few more features.  the alarm has no audible for arming/disarming, except when you hit the lock button a second time, just like the keyless.  i was told by my honda dealer and by honda motor company that this alarm is unable to have an audible signal for arm/disarm.  is it possible maybe with a different honda remote or a different system integrated into this one or to be used in conjunction with this one??

please reply!!

thanks!!
