Glad i found this site.   I purchased an autopage rs-750lcd to install in my '00 Dodge Dakota 4.7L and there is no paperwork at all in the box except "this is how you use it," and "take it to a professional."   I need something to tell me what color wires (off the box) hook up to what (pwr, tach, start relay, etc).

any help would be put me better than I am now

you're welcome. Post back with your success (or failure) either way.. Nothing like personal satisfaction with a job well done!

i should have some time to do it over the weekend.. i'm just reading through the manual and making sure i understand everything.    so far so good with that.

the one question i have is where's the best place to mount the box in a reg. cab dakota?    i've got a fiberglass sub enclosure going from the back of the cab all the way up to the bottom of the dash so i can't get into that center part of the dash without disassembling my interior (seats have to come out and everything).

i also bought some mechanical splices to use.  (the one's you slide over an exsisting wire and then put your new wire into one side and crimp it down for an easy splice)  those ok to use?  i dont see why not.. but who knows

When i'm Installing anything I would strip back about 3/4" to 1" of insulate on the wire i'm tapping into and about the same on the Wire off the Alarm.
I would then make an Eye in the strand of the wire that i'm tapping into. Put the alarm wire through and them wrap it around.
This Connesction Should then Be Soldered although this does not always take place depanding on who's doing the job LOL and how awkward it is to solder the connection it could be in an awkward spot..
Hope this helps.
I personally don't use the Scotch Clips
