I have a 1W900FM-AS (alarm with remote start) compustar installed in a 98 f150.
The installer also installed door unlock actuators so that I could have keyless entry.
So just yesterday the alarm stopped working totally. I noticed it right away because the siren didn't give a chirp when I locked the doors.
The keyless entry is working fine, with the compustar remote, but none of the compustar "brain" functions are working.
The alarm doesn't arm, the blue led doesn't light up saying that the alarm is armed, and the remote start does not work.
Is there anything I can do to reset the brain, or is there any inline fuses that could be blown?
I'm going to check the power wire from the battery to the brain itself, but I don't see any inline fuses on the unit.
If anybody could help me out anyway I'd appriciate it.
Thanks,
Justin

Take it out of VALET mode. Look on the back of the remote and it will give you button sequences to push to exit out of VALET mode.

Hmm,
There is no instructions how to take it out of valet mode on the remote itself.
I have button combinations for the following on the back of the remote.
Mute, Valet, Passive, Timer, Turbo.
I tried all the button combinations, and none are working.
I would assume that pressing the button combination for valet mode when it is in valet mode would disable it?
Thanks,
Justin

Hey Guys I figured it out.
For some reason the compustar wasn't authorizing my remotes to control it.
I had to reprogram both remotes, now everything works perfect.
I had done some work to the truck, and had the battery unplugged for a couple days, I think that did it.
Later,
Justin
