I had viper car alarm installed in my Honda 1999 Civic 2Dr by one of the local car shop.

It worked fine for last 5 years and suddenly stopped making sound whenever I use it. All other functionality like locking/unlocking the car, are fine. It is still blinking the car headlight when I use it. Just the sound (once for locking and twice when gets unlocked) is missing.

I don't remeber security system model number. I know its from viper with two buttons in front ('I' & 'II') and a lid in between. Do you guys have idea.

Is the led always on or does it flash?

It's not in valet.

Led flashes after removing keys and locks the door atomatically after 30 seconds.

Sirens are not expensive and you test the wire going to the siren for 12v+ with a dvm, If 12v+ then replace

Thanks bobk

Will do that.
