While installing a bulldog remote starter on my dad's truck, I found the pink ignition wire quickly, but I also found a light blue wire that connects to the harness next to the pink wire. It seemed to behave identical to the pink wire. It showed 12V when cranking and ohmed out to the same fuse.  I assumed that it was the second ignition and connected it to the remote starter, but I believe that I missed the white ignition wire somewhere. (Couldn't seem to find a white wire that was hot when cranking.) When the start button is pressed, the relays kick and the truck cranks but won't start. I assumed that it was the passlock II feature, but according to DEI instructions for my 555T bypass module, the truck should run for a second and then die. Could my light blue (ignition) wire mistake mentioned above be causing the truck to not run even for a second? The truck behaves the same with the key in run position and start button pressed. Thank you.

what chevy and not ness on the passlock for trucks you have two things either an BLACK/ orange wire ground guide wire for passlock and a yellow for r code or a black for guide and yellow for r code make sure your connected properly as stated in the book make sure you use the black yellow wire for mod side of yellow wire and yellow for key side of yellow wire or the other one not sue on wire colors for the second wire that connects to passlock key side, and also the black or black white wire must be tapped into the black orange or black wire for ground guide usually if this is not correct the car will not do anything. no start for even a sec. but if it cranks and does not kick over than passlock is good and something lse is not right white wire is necc very inportant this wire controls your tranny without it you will not be able to go faster than 15 miles per hour this wire needs to be connected or tell me what kind of chevy youhave ,. you can email me i will resond asap i ama chevy passlock specialist . i have done everything from denalis. to suburbans. tahoes but by saying i got a chevy truck does not let me look it up . there are a lot of chevy trucks does not mean they are all the same.,

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
