I have a 2003 ford ranger and have put an Astroflex auto start into it.  When I remote start the vehicle the starter stays on and I can't figure out why.  It also will not perform the vehicle take over.  I need help with this problem.

I got it from the back of the electronic ignition coil, I also found it at the negative side of one of the fuel injectors.

I couldn't get the tach learn to work, I put the dip switches for the tach learn 1up 234down 567up, started the truck like it said and then applyed the brake.  I wait about five min. and the led didn't flash with the number of cylinders.  When I tried to program it to the auto trans mode and got 16flashes indacating internal failure.  When programing it to gas mode or the antitheft system I got 4 flashed indacating not tach reading,

there are four wires on the coil....use one that is tan / YELLOW and set the unit for a four cyl. reading. You can also find the tach wire behind the guage cluster. same color. also, make sure you have the correct brake wire....if it isnt, you cant program anything.lt green at the switch

I tried the one on the coil and it didn't do anything.  The brake wire I believe is the right one because I can stop the run cycle for the short time that it is running.  The only wire that I have not hook up was the starter kill (starter cut-in) input Pin 6 because I didn't know where it conected to.  Also it is a V-6 do I still try to set it to 4 cycl.

Do I need to hook-up the starter kill (starter cut-in) input Pin 6 and if so how do I wire that in.  On the tach issue, you don't want me to set it for auto detect but manual for 2 cycl. and what do I set the RPM's to
